Taiwan's capital is dynamic, vibrant and perpetually in motion, and on this tour we’ll explore the city by bicycle, on foot, and using Taipei's convenient Metro system. We'll start by bicycle, getting off the main avenues to explore the peaceful lanes and alleys where our city's secret gems are hidden, riding through the broad tree-lined avenues of Taipei's government to see some fine examples of Japanese era colonial architecture. We'll walk through Democracy Plaza and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall before heading by Metro to Yongkang street for lunch at one of the famed food streets' many small local eateries. We'll also take a 45-minute hike up Elephant Mountain before ending the tour with a leisurely guided tour of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, dubbed the “Creative Hub of Taipei".

Fun "BMW" tour
We just came from our BMW tour the other day, brought our kids ages 17, 15 and 12. It was really a unique first time experience for the whole family since it was sort of like a private tour. Our guide's name was Billy Lee. Young, courteous, energetic, fun, approachable and really really patient. He entertained all of our questions, esp from my kids. It is nice to have a guide who loves his job and enjoys it at the same time. He made sure that we are all safe and taken cared of. That is what is important for us. He even gave us a brief history of Taiwan and slowly explained it to us quite well. My kids really enjoyed and appreciated the guide. They can't stop talking about their wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this company My Taiwan Tours, and be sure to look for Billy Lee!!!

Private tour in Taipei
Surprised to find out that I was the only one who signed up on the tour the day I had it. Since I got Alan, the tour guide, all to myself, I had the chance to ask him every curiosity I had with the city and the country. Since we had extra time, we also rode the bus to our last destination. This is probably the best tour to experience the city like a local. Will highly recommend this to my friends.

We saw a lot during a day.
It turned out to just be me and m very knowledgeable guide, Kelly. Although had there been more people I don't think it would have mattered as they keep group sizes small. Kelly changed the tour a little to suit me but also the weather as it had been reported it was due to get worse throughout the day. Kelly was very caring and had bought a bottle of water for me, and kept checking if I needed to drink or use the WC at various places we visited. I saw a lot of Taipei during the day and enjoyed doing it via various methods of transport. I would recommend this to anyone who visits Taipei, but unlike me do it at the start of your visit as you can get a sense of the city.

An excellent tour
This was an excellent tour which I highly recommend. Janice our tour guide was outstanding. Because of inclement weather conditions at the start of our tour, Janice had to change the tour itinerary based on the group's interest and experience. We had some great food and we were able to visit parts of Taipei that tourist seldom visit because roadways were reduced to alleyways and the shops in the area could not handle large groups. As many of My Taiwan Tour groups are small, this made for a more personalized tour which I found to be great. Janice showed great passion as a guide and was very excited to show the group her Taiwan home. We all agreed and did conclude our tour with a bike ride even though it was raining. It was a wonderful experience and I truly understand what it is like to live in Taipei City. The food, the public transportation (metro), the daily commute (bike) made this an experience of a lifetime.

I had a wonderful time with our tour guide Janice. She was super knowledgeable, kind and has a true passion for these guided tours. She took us to some really great sites and also introduced us to some good food along the way. Overall, it was an awesome tour, plus a great way to get some exercise while on vacation. Highly recommended.

Great biking tour
We had great time traveling in Taipeii with our special guide, Steve. The idea of riding a bike in such hot day was great soluton for the high temperture. We climbed the Elephant mounten and had a great view on 101 building and most atractive spots ib Taipei. We got general information about the food in Taiwan and eat the traditional beef noodles dish. Steve is very friendly with great sense of humor. One of best guides we had ever.Very recommended tour and guide!!!

The pleasure of touring Taipei
I had the pleasure of touring Taipei last week for one very busy and very enjoyable day. I reached out to MyTaiwanTour and requested a 1 very full one day tour using only waking and public transport since my time was short, but had plans to return to Taipei later in the year. Booking was east and communication was excellent. Kelly was booked to be my guide and we met at 9:00 am at my hotel the regent. 26,000 steps later on my pedometer and few nice metro rides I was given a great and diverse tour covering everything from the great monuments, a beautiful temple, great lunch at a BBQ place. Taipei 101, mango shaved ice (a must to try near Taipei 101) and a night market tour. Kelly was an awesome guide, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. She was very enthusiastic and helped to adapt the tour to things of interest as the tour progressed. I will be back in September and have already booked an additional multi day private tour at that time.

If you only have a few days in Taipei, this is not to be missed.
On my recent trip to Taipei in December 2015, I booked this tour with a local Taiwanese friend. I have done a few cycle tours in Asia over last few years and up one seeing this new tour in Taipei, I decided to give it a go. It was one of the best tours I have taken so far in Taipei. Our guide Kelly, was very informative. It was a pleasure to see Taipei life as it is and not through some rose tinted spectacles. You get the chance to see other places of interest you would miss, such as an old Japanese House, the Astoria Tea House and of course the street markets, which are part of Taiwanese life and serve fresh food of very high quality, at such a good price. I did enjoy the walk up Elephant Mountain. Although the weather prevented us seeing the views of Taipei, the climb was fantastic. It was easy to cycle around, using the cycle lanes and side roads. I would have liked to have done a bit more cycling, maybe through Daan Park. Overall this was was a full day tour and one of the best tours I have taken in Taipei. If you only have a few days in Taipei, this is not to be missed.

An all-day tour and the perfect antidote for jetlag.
Straight from our flight from JFK, we met our guide Steve at a Taipei MRT station. It was just me and my husband, plus Steve's delightful French intern Justine. Our 15 hour airline trip forgotten, we hopped on city bikes and saw Taipei as the locals do. So many sights, dumplings at a restaurant with nary a tourist in sight, a vigorous climb up Elephant Mountain and shaved mango ice (declared by CNN as one of the ten best desserts in the world). Steve led us on foot and through Taipei's excellent subway system. He is an outstanding guide, but it felt like we were seeing the city with friends. An all-day tour and the perfect antidote for jetlag.

BMW tour with My Taiwan Tour
I took the BMW tour with My Taiwan Tour. They were able to accommodate me even though another customer had canceled. I got a personal one-on-one tour with Michael as my guide. He gave great explanations about sites, the history, etc. I had already been to one of the sites on the itinerary, but Michael quickly substituted another site that I hadn't been to. I only wish we could have ridden bikes a bit longer and cut back on the walking since I had done so much of it in my preceding days there.

A good way to see Taipei
Last week my wife and I were on vacation in Taiwan and we decided to book a walking/biking trip in Taipei for the day we arrived. We found My Taiwan Tours and booked them. Our guides were Michael (the owner) and Kelly. They both were excellent tour guides. They spoke English well and knew a lot about Tawian history and sights. The biking/metro tour we did is a good way to actively see Taipei. It consited of a combination of using the metro, renting the public bike and walking.

Learned something about Taipei
I signed up for MyTaiwanTour's BMW tour which stands for bike, metro, and walking, and wow, this tour was the perfect way to see Taipei. My guide, Kelly, was excellent guide incarnate: easy going, informative, and more than helpful. She knew tons about Taipei and Taiwan's history and was up to any question I threw her way. She even made suggestions for my itinerary when I asked, and helped me understand how to reach a far flung destination I previously thought maybe impossible to see.
