Excellent tour!!
A great way to tour the city of Taipei. We visited several ‘must see’ tourist spots in 8 hours. It was fun with a relaxed atmosphere and at our own pace. Phoebe, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and went far and beyond in making us feel comfortable. I will definitely book again in the future!Very efficient way to see Taipei.
This was a great way to see a lot of Taipei in a short amount of time. Our guide, Esther, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the area and it's attractions as you would expect. However she also added personal touches throughout the day that made the trip feel like a friend showing you around her city. The highlight of our time in Taiwan. Thank you Kai!
My wife and I originally looked into various tours that would get us out of Taipei for a day (we'd already explored a decent amount of the city, and were hoping to check out some of the surrounding area). Eventually we realized that we wanted a customized experience to see various areas ( that we wanted to see a bunch of stuff (Jiufen, Shifen, Jinguashi, Chuen Ji Temple, etc). We ended up booking a private custom tour with MyTaiwan, and the experience was OUTSTANDING. Our guide, Kai, spoke perfect English, and has a wonderful personality. He was funny, courteous, knowledgeable, and basically became "one of the crew" by the end of the day. We ended up seeing so many sights and trying so much food...I couldn't believe how much we packed into one day without feeling rushed at all. Ultimately we did the following: - Jinguashi mine area - Golden Waterfall - Chuen Ji Temple, - seeing the Yin-Yang Sea - Spending a few hours at Jiufen old street (including lunch at a tea-house with a breath-taking view...it was cloudy so the ocean couldn't be seen...but it felt so mystical/magical floating above the clouds!) - Shifen Waterfall - Shifen lantern experience I would highly recommend getting a guide to see these areas, especially if you're short on time. Our time exploring Taipei in the previous days was great, but our time exploring this surrounding region was literally one of the best experiences of our travels. Also...the tour included hotel pickup...and instead of hotel drop-off..we ended up opting to be dropped off a Raohe Night Market..which was awesome!Absolutely Memorable!!
Yang was an excellent guide with excellent English. Prompt, outgoing and very knowledgeable about Taipei and Taiwanese history. The spot he suggested for lunch was spot-on for what I wanted. A fine day.It was an amazing holiday for us!
Our tour guide, Tai was fantastic. He catered and customize the tour to our specific interests which was picture perfect locations as we're photography buffs. He was also very knowledgeable about the city, he could explain to us about many aspects such as the fascinating history and exotic culture of this country. He even helped us fare through the rainy weather. He introduced to us many delicious local foods. He went above and beyond by obtaining for us a tour inside of the Presidential Building which was only open once a month so I discovered. It was an amazing holiday for us, from the fantasy town of Jiufen to the majestic National Palace Museum. Our expectations of this trip was exceeded as high as the Taipei 101.We had a really memorable tour, thanks to Kelly and the very gracious driver.
This was a great experience. We were 7 travelers in our family with our 82-year old mother. The tour guide Kelly had a very upbeat personality, even calling our mother lola which is the Filipino word for grandmother. The tour van was very comfortable and just right for all of us. We told Kelly where we wanted to go and she organized our tour very well for us, starting with the farthest point Yangmingshan to see the geysers and then to Beitou thermal valley. We had beef noodle soup in Beitou. Kelly very graciously looked for some forks for my brother, his wife, and my mother who didn't know how to use chopsticks. We also covered a lot of the sights in our tour of Taipei city - Taipei 101, Chiang Kai Shek and Sun Yat Sen memorial halls, Office of the President. Our last stop was the Taipei handicraft promotion center. We had a really memorable tour, thanks to Kelly and the very gracious driver.Well worth the money you pay for.
Well worth the money you pay for. We only had a short trip in Taipei and wanted to capture as much as we can. Base on travellers reviews, there were a lot of good sites to visit so we booked a Private Custom Tour to select the sites we wanted and go on our pace. We combined city landmarks and out-of-city sites. And though the weather was abit gloomy, our guide accommodated our request. Didn't really know what to expect as it was our first time booking with viator but was quite impress with this tour. You can't get that kind of local insight and capture that much landmarks going on your own. Our guide Amanda, was not only professional she was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Not only did we feel safe with her, you can feel the Taiwanese hospitality thru her. It was like travelling with a local friend. She also made great recommendations on other areas we should visit or things we should try whilst in Taipei. She went above and beyond our expectation to ensure we had a memorable trip.Great way for long lay over
This was a fantastic tour for our long layover. The guide was phenomenal and we enjoyed everything we went to go see. We paid extra for airport pick up which was totally worth it!! Made everything super convenient and easy for us!! I would highly recommend anyone do this tour, but especially if you have limited time to see things.Ended up being a great day
Our guide Steve was great. We had a list of things we wanted to see but due to the rain, we had to alter our plans. Steve made recommendations and adjustments and it still ended up being a great day.Definitely engage their service again
Gordon has been friendly, helpful, professional and resourceful in bringing us to the places that we wanted to visit for the day. We visited the gold museum, walked through the gold mining tunnel, tried gold panning, tried out some of the local delicacies st Jiu Fen and managed to launch a sky lantern at Shifen. We even managed to have a look at the Ying Yang sea which was near the gold museum. If we are to visit Taiwan again, we will definitely engage their service again.Excellent service.
Excellent service. Our guide spoke very good English. We wanted to get out of the city and explore the Juifen Gold mining town area. A private car was a great way to do that. He took us where we wanted to go and suggested some other places that fitted into the day really well. We had a really great day.Great guide and itinerary
This tour was secretly one of the best values on Viator as my friend and I were picked up in a luxury vehicle and got to decide our itinerary for a day trip in Taipei at a really great price. If I had the chance to go back and do things over I would have booked this on three different days and chose different activities for each day for a unique one-on-one experience. I would definitely recommend this to others!Very enjoyable tour.
Steven our guide was fantastic. His command of the English language was excellent too. His knowledge on the history of Taiwan and all of it's must see sights was truly exceptional. He was polite, courteous and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We'll definitely recommend this tour to anyoneThe tour guide speak English excellently
We had a great day! Our guide, Steven, was terrific.....due to heavy traffic in the city, we chose to see the Presidential Office Building and the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall then headed outside the city to Jiufen and to Pingxi, both highly recommended! Steven is very knowledgeable, friendly and his English is excellent. The Private Guided Tou
I joined the Private Guided Tour in the past Lunar New Year. My tour guide was Michael Wu. My family and I had enjoyed the tour very much. Michael had scheduled a no. of good destinations for us, and we especially like the experience of launching Sky Lantern at Shifen and the sightseeing at Beitou.Tour of Taipei with Michael Wu from MyTaiwan Tour Travel Service
“Tour of Taipei with Michael Wu from MyTaiwan Tour Travel Service” We took an 8-hour tour with Michael Wu from MyTaiwan Tour Travel Service. We had a fantastic time!! Michael was extremely knowledgeable about all the main attractions, key details about Taipei and Taiwan in general, strong knowledge of the local foods/culture/etc. and spoke English perfectly (while also communicating in Mandarin fluently with our kids). It was a terrific experience because Michael customized the entire day for us and got us to the right locations by optimizing our travel route and making sure that we spent most of our time at the top attractions. The vehicle provided for the tour was a large VW van (7-passenger) and it was extremely comfortable for our family (we were total of 7 people where 3 were children). The driver was great too and we always used the best routes and never had any issues getting to all the destinations. Michael went way above and beyond by helping us with all the food (given we are vegetarian) and he even extended his time with us to take us to a special restaurant for dim sum that was 100% vegetarian (this was out of his way and after the tour had ended because he wanted to ensure we got to a good place to eat dinner). Michael was extremely courteous and very helpful throughout our day with him. I would highly recommend asking for Michael if you want to have a great tour of Taipei/Taiwan. “Great Day!” My tour of Taipei was a wonderful 9 hr day of not to be missed sites. Our driver & guide were friendly & very knowledgable. There were just 2 of us on the tour which made it very personalized. Don't miss the stinky tofu!Fantastic Private Tour
“Fantastic Private Tour” I arranged a city tour for my foreign guest from United States. Our schedules changed even on the day of the trip. Micheal was very nice to adjust his time and the tour. We really enjoyed the trip. Michael knew a lot about the city. We not only talked about the sightseeing but also something about the society and political issues. I've also learned much from the trip even though I already lived in Taipei for 15 years. Thanks for Michael's generous hosting and MyTaiwanTour. It's a great experience, and I can't wait to arrange another tour at MyTaiwanTour! Visited November 2015Best part of our trip!
“Best part of our trip!” We were a group of 6 friends in our mid-twenties traveling to Taiwan for a fun summer trip. We booked this tour for 2 separate days because all of the attractions we wanted to visit were pretty far and public transportation would be pretty inconvenient. It was very easy to book the tour online and they were very accommodating. We chose a few attractions that we wanted to visit, and they promptly emailed back with further details and suggestions. Kelly was our tour guide for both days. She was amazing! Her English was excellent. I believe she majored in history, so she was very informative during the tour. We were very comfortable with her and felt like she was one of our friends. Along the way, she would tell us a little about the country. She would let us know her suggestions for places to eat and visit and we were able to change the itinerary around due to the hot weather. She had so much energy and was so much fun even in the hot, humid, and rainy weather. And each of our tours were 8 hours long! Overall, we were very pleased with this tour company. We were nervous at first that we would not be able to understand our tour guide, but Kelly was so great! We had a fun time and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.Private tour - excellent
“Private tour - excellent” We had two days on our honeymoon in Taipei, and we spent one of those days on a private tour with Jett. He was EXCELLENT! So incredibly knowledgeable about Taiwanese history and culture, easy to engage with, flexible, and fun. It was my birthday and the second day of our honeymoon the day of our tour, and our guide thoughtfully brought us tea. My husband and I enjoyed our time exploring and learning about Taipei - and we also enjoyed our time talking with our tour guide. I would never hesitate to recommend a private tour through this company. Excellent experience. Jett made all the difference in our trip to Taiwan. Our tour was one of my favorite parts of the entire honeymoon.Private Custom Tour with MyTaiwanTour.
We (2 of us) booked a Private Custom Tour with MyTaiwanTour. Our guide/driver Steve Lin provided us with an amazing day of sites in the city and surrounding area. I highly recommend this as a way to spend a day in Taipei. Pick the sites you want to see or trust the highly professional and knowledgeable guides (like Steve) to get you safely where you need to be at the right times! From booking right through to the end of our private tour, MyTaiwanTour is extremely professional and helpful. This was a long layover that turned into a day of sightseeing. Thanks to Steve we will be back to Taiwan. Visited December 2015Can't wait to arrange another tour at MyTaiwanTour!

wonderful day tour with ting!
we spent the day with our tour guide Ting may 11, with my family of 4. Ting was an excellent tour guide: very patient, great sense of humor, and she spoke English perfectly. They were easy to set up the tour and corresponded with me through email. We were picked up around 9 am at our hotel and did the day private tour. we first went to the tea plantation, then to the sky lantern in pingxi, also stopped at a waterfall along the way. the driver was excellent as well. ting was very knowledgeable and showed us a memorable day. book your tour with this company, you will be happy.
