Please understand that Taroko Gorge has been damaged by a severe earthquake, and the park will be closed for six months. However, we will replace the other attractions in Hualien to ensure you have the best memories in Taiwan.
Taiwan's east coast is known for its unparalleled natural scenery, indigenous culture, unique dining, and outdoor activities. Our Eastern Beauty Five Day Premium Tour will bring you to well-known scenic spots and hidden gems alike in luxury and style. Along the way you'll experience awe-inspiring natural wonders (including Taroko Gorge and the East Rift Valley), traveling through the heartland of Taiwan's indigenous cultures. You'll have plenty of opportunities for leisure and outdoor activities including hiking, boating, bicycling, and even hot-air ballooning. In between the bucolic splendor, we'll also make time to explore Hualien and Taitung, two of Eastern Taiwan's largest cities, each boasting their own unique cultural caches. Though the route is similar to our standard Eastern Beauty Tour, our Premium tour package offers top-rated accommodations around the area, meals in some of eastern Taiwan's best restaurants, and opportunities for adventure not available on our standard tour.

ITINERARY
Day 1 / Taipei - Su'ao - Hualien
When heading down the magnificent east coast, we will stop at Yilan Su'ao and enjoy the rare type of cold springs, which is only found at a few places around the world, before arriving at Hualien. After lunch, visit a beautiful pebble-strewn beach with famously clear blue waters, take a walk around 48 Highland and cycle along the best coastal bike path.
Day 2 / Easten Coast Beauty: Hualien - Taitung
On day two, we'll head south down the coast, making many stops along the way to check out the region's astonishingly varied coastal terrain. Further down the coast, we'll stop to visit local monkeys. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a walk by Seashore Park when you reach Taitung city. If you're adventurous, a flying experience by hot air balloon or paragliding in Luye could be arranged.
Day 3 / East Rift Valley Exploration: Taitung - Hualien
We'll spend the morning in a most unusual museum, one made not of brick and glass but of interconnected trees, part of a forest preserve maintained and protected by members of the local Bunun tribe. Follow local peoples to learn about the unique lifestyle and cultures of the indigenous tribe. Afterward, we'll explore the bucolic East Rift Valley when heading back to Hualien.
Day 4 / Hualien - Taroko
It's time for fun activities. We will do clam digging, an interesting and local experience to learn about the golden clam here, and taste clam dishes. Afterward, we'll head inland to Liyu Lake, whose beauty (some say) rivals that of Taiwan's well-known Sun Moon Lake. Ride on a paddle boat with your party or just cycle and hike around the lake to enjoy a lovely afternoon.
Day 5 / Taroko Gorge -Taipei
On the final day of the itinerary, we will head directly to the hot spring area in the geothermal valley in the mountains of Yilan, where we’ll try cooking food using the hot springs. Afterward, we will visit the Kavalan Whisky Distillery to explore Taiwan’s unique whisky-making style. Finally, we’ll return to Taipei, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.

REVIEWS
MyTaiwanTour will take care of you and craft a wonderfully memorable experience.
My husband and I booked a 5-day Eest-coast luxury tour with MyTaiwanTour for our honeymoon. We didn't know ANYONE in the country and looked forward to having a Chinese- and English-speaking tour guide who could show us around. We were NOT disappointed. From the start, our email communications with MyTaiwanTour were frequent and efficient. Anka handled most of our booking and set-up and was friendly and fast to respond. We even got to meet her in Taipei on the first day of our tour and she was just as nice in person. Everyone was timely and we never had to wait around wondering what was going to happen -- the staff at MyTaiwanTour is organized and on top of it. They will handle everything!Michael, our tour guide, was amazing. He was so gracious, efficient, funny, kind, and supportive of our trip and our first-time experience. Michael was the perfect amount of hands-on and stand-back-and-let-you-enjoy. He had a great knowledge of the history of Taiwan, the aboriginal cultures, and most importantly, FOOD. He loved to eat and loved to show us good things to eat. We immediately realized that we loved having him as a dining companion, in addition to his role as a tour guide. Michael was also extremely flexible, asking us about our interests and rearranging the schedule to better suit what we might want to see (for example, he took us to the CHIMEI museum in Tainan, which was not on our itinerary). The coolest thing was that by the end of the tour, we felt like we had made a new friend in Michael and look forward to keeping in touch with him and the company. All-in-all, I have to say that even though we were a bit wary booking such an expensive tour online without having any knowledge of the staff or the company's reputation, we had an excellent experience. In fact, the thing that convinced us to book was the high ratings they receive on TripAdvisor -- one reason I am now writing to share my experience. All of our expectations were exceeded and we can't recommend MyTaiwanTour highly enough. If you're considering booking a tour of Taiwan, look no further! They will take care of you and craft a wonderfully memorable experience.- 1

Exceptional Customized Travel Experience
From the moment we contacted MyTaiwanTour we were impressed. While they offered many terrific itineraries, we needed a #customized #tour. We had five days to visit Taiwan. Casper responded immediately with a plan that precisely matched our schedule, budget, and the specific interests we listed in our initial online inquiry. Anytime we had a question, Casper clarified things quickly and accurately. Booking and payment were easy, secure, and professional. Our guide, Gordon, took over from there and ensured that we had a fabulous trip. From the moment we met Gordon he demonstrated warmth and genuine concern that we enjoy our visit. His knowledge was vast and comprehensive. We enjoyed exploring and experiencing Taiwan with Gordon. Our trip to Taipei and eastern Taiwan was exceptional. We are experienced travelers, but could not have seen and done so much without Gordon and MyTaiwanTour.
