Discover one of Asia's most breathtaking natural wonders — all in a single day from Hualien. From dramatic coastal cliffs to ancient marble canyons, this carefully crafted journey takes you through the very best of Taiwan's east coast, guided every step of the way by a local expert who knows the landscape inside and out.
Your day begins along the coast at the awe-inspiring Qingshui Cliffs, where towering marble walls rise steeply from the Pacific Ocean, offering one of Taiwan's most iconic and unforgettable views. From there, continue into the heart of Taroko National Park, winding through the magnificent marble canyon as your guide brings the gorge's geological wonders and indigenous Truku heritage to life.
It is worth noting that Taroko National Park has been undergoing restoration following the significant earthquake in April 2024, and several iconic trails such as Shakadang and Swallow Grotto remain closed as recovery efforts continue. While these trails are not accessible, your guide will thoughtfully navigate the gorge with carefully selected stops where conditions allow, and scenic drives through sections currently regulated for continuous passage — ensuring you take in the raw, awe-inspiring beauty of Taroko as it stands today.
A leisurely lunch awaits at Silks Place Taroko, the only five-star hotel nestled within the national park, where the setting is as spectacular as the food. The afternoon takes you deeper into the park to Tianxiang, the cultural and spiritual core of Taroko, where temples, ancient trails, and dramatic canyon views converge. As the day winds down, return to the coast for a final stop at Qixingtan Beach — a sweeping pebble shoreline with expansive Pacific views, the perfect way to close a perfect day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REVIEWS
Excellent day trip! Highly recommend.
Great clear communication, from the company, from the time of booking up until the day trip and the train tickets were dropped off at the hotel. Was promptly met by guide Ivan (at the Hualien train station) and had an excellent day exploring the local Coast line and National Park/Gorge. We visited all the key highlights (stunning landscape) of the National Park and enjoyed a scrumptious local lunch. Despite being a long day I highly recommend; if you do one day trip from Taipei - choose this one.Great tour!
We had an incredible tour of Taroko Gorge with the best tour guide Jason “Old J”. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect visit! Our guide picked us up promptly at the train and escorted us through the park all day, curating the tour to our interests. Highly recommend.Great tour!

This was a great trip to see the Taroko Gorge. The planned trip had to be rescheduled due to a typhoon, but it happened. Alex was a lively and informed guide who made the experince easy and enjoyable.
