ITINERARY
Day 1 / Taipei - Taichung
Travel to the colorful Rainbow Village, a small village that was saved by the artwork of the creative "Rainbow Grandpa." Go back in time at the grand Wufeng Lin Family Mansion, and get in touch with nature at the unique Gao-mei Wetlands.
Day 2 / Taichung - Chiayi
Visit a city so devoted to food that it was featured on Netflix's "Street Food" series. Enjoy an intimate experience learning how soy sauce is made the traditional way. View over 5,000 years of Chinese art and history at the city's National Palace Museum, then eat your heart out at a traditional night market.
Day 3 / Chiayi - Alishan
Enter the Alishan National Park and handpick tea at a local tea farm with breathtaking views. Enjoy a leisurely hike through the park's natural forest, enjoying Taiwan's mountainous terrain that supports ideal tea growing conditions.
Day 4 / Alishan - Kaohsiung
In the morning, we’ll get up early and hop on the Alishan Forest Railway to catch a glimpse of the area’s famed “sea of clouds” that appear in the hours around dawn. Afterward, we’ll head to the towering Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, and then see the world's largest bronze Buddha statue at the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Center.
Day 5 / Kaohsiung - Kenting
Visit a local, award-winning chocolate farm that combines local ingredients to create innovative novelties. Then, head to Taiwan's beautiful beaches in Kenting and kick back at this resort town.
Day 6 / Kenting - Tainan
