When planning a great family vacation, Taiwanese people basically look for three things: Beautiful scenery, lots of shared activities, and plenty of dining options. Our five day family tour offers your family all this and so much more. Among the experiences we’ve arranged are a visit to a picturesque hillside town built during the Qing dynasty, a soak in a soothing natural hot spring, a hike through marble canyons filled with temples and shrines and a boat ride on a crystal-blue lake surrounded by mountains and bamboo forests. Along the way you’ll be introduced to excellent restaurants where you’ll have the option of dining like royalty on multi-course traditional Chinese meals (served family style, of course). Our knowledgeable, fun-loving English-speaking local guide will show your family the best that Taiwan has to offer on a leisurely tour guaranteed to please young and old alike.

ITINERARY
Day 1 / Taipei to Taichung
Our Family Fun Tour begins with trip down the west coast from Taipei to Taichung. We'll stop at a special farm to meet with cows whose milk is used to make some of Taiwan's best ice cream and have a lesson in DIY ice cream making! Afterwards, we'll head to Rainbow Village to visit with local artist Rainbow Grandpa before checking into our hotel. We'll spend the evening eating, shopping and eating some more at the Fengjia night market.
Day 2 / Taichung - Sun Moon Lake - Cingjing Farm
After a big breakfast, we'll leave the city behind and head to magical Sun Moon Lake, consistently rated as one of the most scenic spots in Asia. The lake is surrounded by temples, shrines and bamboo forests, so there's plenty to do. We might go for a hike, take a boat ride across the lake, visit temples, have a tea ceremony or take a gondola ride. Your guide will fill you in on all the options. As the sun sets, you'll be treated to an amazing view of the stars from our guesthouse.
Day 3 / Cingjing Farm to Taipei
On day three we'll spend more time in the mountains, visiting a sheep farm and picking and eating mouth-watering seasonal fruits (Taiwan's fruits are amazing). We'll take a mountain hike through bamboo groves and lush high-altitude forests before heading back along country roads to Taipei City. After a brief rest, we'll head out to the famous gourmet Yongkang street (as seen on CNN), where some of Taipei's best loved restaurants and street snacks sit side by side.
Day 4 / Taipei to Jiaoxi
On day four we'll leave Taipei again, this time heading in the opposite direction to visit some of the best spots on Taiwan's northeast coast. We'll have a couple of options for the first part of the day. If the group is into culture and history, we'll head to the charming hillside town of Jiufen, where Qing-dynasty China comes alive. Or we can head to Cape Yehliu to check out the area's strange, otherworldly rock formations. Afterwards, we'll go to Pingxi to make sky lanterns before heading down the east coast for a relaxing at local hotel.
Day 5 / Jiaoxi - Taroko Gorge - Taipei
On day five we'll be heading down Taiwan's amazing east coast: Destination, Taroko Gorge, where we'll spend the afternoon basking in the amazing scenery, a truly gorgeous gorge. We'll hike to a few shrines and temples, examine the marble walls of the marvelous Swallow Grotto, and have lunch in some of the most impressive scenery of Taiwan's Grand Canyon. Afterwards, we'll head back to Taipei by train from the peaceful east coast city of Hualien.

Compliment- Ann, Claire and Mark
It has been a wonderful trip for my family. Firstly, i would like to thank you for planning this itinerary. I am really thankful to you for your patience and professionalism. Claire has provided excellent service and she is an outstanding tour guide. She is fun, amazing, attentive and knowledgeable. My children enjoyed her company and they still miss her. My husband was feeling unwell on the 5th day. Claire quickly made some adjustment and ensure my husband can check in earlier to rest. She then proceed to send my children and I to tour the swiss cottage. A while later, she checked and when my husband was feeling better, she arranged to pick him up and we proceed to visit cingjing farm as planned. Mark, our driver and Claire even went above and beyond to achieve our expectation. After dinner, during their free time, they even brought us back to swiss cottage to enjoy the night view since my husband missed the day trip. We are indeed impressed by their service. Thank you Ann, Claire and Mark for making this an enjoyable trip. Ann, kindly help to forward this email to yours, Claire and Mark's managers. Copy MyTaiwanTour Management, I would like to congratulate you to have excellent employees like Ann, Claire and Mark. We hope to visit Taiwan again and will defintely recommend MyTaiwanTour to our friends and relatives.Thank you Gordon & MyTaiwanTour for making our trip to Taiwan such a memorable one!
Recently, we visited Taiwan for the very first time. Fourteen days of our vacation were spent going on tours with MyTaiwanTour. I'm glad that we paid to make our tours private--it was just the three of us--our English/Mandarin-speaking tour guide/driver, Gordon Chen, my sister, & I. Our itinerary was extremely busy because we wanted to see everything. We decided to go on these tours: Ultimate Taipei, Jiufen & Pingxi, Northern Seacoast, Ultimate Taiwan Round (8 day) Trip, as well as, day tours to Shei-Pa National Park & to Hsinchu. I enjoyed all of the tours but decorating & releasing the sky lantern in Pingxi was one of my favorites. Gordon was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about his country & culture. He's very funny, always smiling, & treated us like family. Gordon safely drove us through an unexpected torrential rain storm, and though miles & miles of scary, zigzagging, wet, dark, & foggy mountain roads. He spontaneously changed our day's planned itinerary to incorporate things that we wanted to do, like going to the aquarium in Pingtung & taking us to soak our aching feet in a hot spring in Beitou. He mentioned that MyTaiwanTour's philosophy allows him the flexibility to do anything (within reason) to make his guests happy. On most days, our tour started at 9 am & you'd think that it would end at 5 pm. Most times, our tours didn't end until after 6 pm, which was fine with me because I got to see more of Taiwan & I felt like I got my money's worth. Overall, I highly recommend using MyTaiwanTour. If I go back to Taiwan, I'd definitely use them again & I want Gordon, as my guide. Thank you Gordon & MyTaiwanTour for making our trip to Taiwan such a memorable one!it was a very enjoyable vacation as we got to experience a lot of things that Taiwan had to offer
I booked this tour in October for our family's 2015 Christmas vacation. We would like to thank Ms. Kelly Lin (our tour guide) for being informative and helpful throughout the whole trip. She was also patient with the much older members of our group. Our driver Mr. Boss was also very efficient, yet safe, in getting us to our destination. Overall it was a very enjoyable vacation as we got to experience a lot of things that Taiwan had to offer.- 1
