You don’t need a full day to get a taste of old Taipei, Dadaocheng & Dihua St. Layover allows you to experience the highlights of both Qing dynasty and Japanese colonial era Taipei in style and comfort. Dadaocheng, home to the famous Xia-Hai City God Temple. In addition to being one of the oldest Taoist temples in Taipei, the temple is home to both The City God and a celestial host of other folk deities. As you might expect, it’s always a lively spot. We’ll also take time to explore Dihua Street, an area rich in traditional apothecaries and tea shops as well as more modern artist’s boutiques and restaurants, all set inside buildings built during the Japanese colonial period. We’ll visit a family-run tea roasting plant and sample the wares before heading back to the main drag for dinner. After dinner, guests staying in Taiwan longer will be brought to nearby Beimen station, while guests catching onward flights will be shuttled back to Taoyuan airport. **Please Note: 1. For guests carrying large/multiple pieces of luggage: If you’re planning to return to Taoyuan Airport at the end of the trip, we suggest that you leave your luggage at the airport. If you’re planning to stay in Taipei, please inform your travel consultant in advance and we’ll do our best to arrange a vehicle of appropriate size to accommodate your luggage.
