Looking to experience ancient Chinese culture alongside modern, neon-lit glitz, fashion, and glitter? This five-hour tour brings visitors to two uniquely different spots in Taipei. First, we’ll head over to the National Palace Museum, which is considered one of the finest and largest repositories of Chinese art, culture, and history on the planet. Following this, we’ll head over to Taipei’s Ximending neighborhood, which many have compared to Tokyo’s famous “Shibuya” district, filled with a mixture of broad pedestrian malls and narrow, winding alleys, glitzy neon signs. The heart of the neighborhood is The Red House, a circular red brick building dating back to the Japanese colonial era. Once a theater, the building has now been repurposed as a gathering spot filled with shops and surrounded by restaurants, bars and other businesses providing a great place to hang out, relax and explore. We’ll hang out in Ximending until eight, at which point we’ll bring you to Ximen station (for guests staying longer in Taiwan) or back to the airport (for those catching a connecting flight). **Please Note: 1. For guests carrying large/multiple pieces of luggage: If you’re planning to return to Taoyuan Airport at the end of the trip, we suggest that you leave your luggage at the airport.
