Seven Star Mountain Hike

3 Reviews | 9369
HIGHLIGHTS
  • • Hike through the ethereal volcanic beauty of Yangmingshan National Park
  • • Climb to the top of two peaks, including Taipei's tallest mountain
  • • Get a panoramic view incorporating ocean, city and seven mountain peaks from the top of Qixingshan

It's called Qixingshan, or Seven Star Mountain, and not just because it's Taipei's tallest (and thus closest to the stars) but because those who make it to its peak are treated to an extraordinary view of the seven peaks surrounding Taipei city. The trail is moderately steep but absolutely worth the climb as it passes through dense forest, grassy fields and volcanic vents that give the area a genuinely magical beauty. We'll stop along the way to rest, stay hydrated, and take photos of the surrounding landscape and the unique creatures (colorful lizards, birds with amazing plumage and more) calling the mountain home. After reaching the main peak, we’ll continue along the trail to the eastern peak, which offers beautiful views of its own before heading back down to the entrance for the ride back into Taipei. Please note: 1. This tour is not recommended for children under the age of 10.

One enjoyable day with Cola
It was a rainy and very windy day unfortunately. But our tour guides Cola and Allen made it more fun. I held on to Cola when it was so windy, she brought hot tea on the hike and snacks which was perfect. We still gad a great time even though the visibility was not great either. Made the best out if it, ended the hike in a resting place with milk tea, which was delicious. 4 star because the weather was bad. Still great memories.

Awesome!
I really enjoyed the 1 day Qixing hiking tour. The young guide was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable! The experience of being in a small group made it even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to future visitors to Taipei
