Ready to welcome 2027? Watch the Taipei 101 fireworks from the Wildwood terrace, with one of the best views of the countdown in the city.

Your New Year's Eve begins at the National Palace Museum, where your guide brings you through the highlights of its imperial collection. As the sun sets, head up to the Taipei 101 Observatory, then enjoy dinner in the Xinyi District before your guide walks you to the terrace party.

Things to know

  • Cancellation: This tour includes limited, date-specific New Year's Eve party tickets, so all bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.

  • Rain or cold: The terrace has rain covers and outdoor heaters, and every guest gets a rain poncho and heat packs. Late December nights in Taipei are usually around 15°C (59°F), so bring a warm layer.

  • Getting back: Return transport isn't included. Roads around Taipei 101 are closed on New Year's Eve, but the Taipei Metro usually runs nonstop for 42 hours over the holiday, and free shuttle buses take guests to nearby MRT stations from midnight to 1:30 a.m. Stations near Taipei 101 get very crowded after the fireworks, so allow extra time. If you'd like suggestions for getting back to your hotel, leave us a note when booking, and we'll send you our recommendations.

  • Standing area: Plan to be on your feet for most of the night. Wear comfortable shoes.

  • Dietary needs: Let us know when booking, and we'll check with the restaurant in advance.
